Helen O'Brien, Rollstone Bank & Trust; Elizabeth LaBarbera, Flushing Bank
Do you ever wonder if you are using BI to its fullest potential? In this session we will discuss the differences between query builder and report builder.

What are the pros and cons of each? When should you use one over the other? Once you've decided to use report builder, what is the EOM database? What is the difference between the Business and Enterprise databases? Or are there other approaches entirely? How do you handle multiple cores and build integrated reporting that incorporates data from MISER and also other cores and third party service providers at the Enterprise level? Is a proprietary dimensional data warehouse a solution worth considering? What would such an architecture look like from a business perspective?

We will discuss all of this, plus provide samples to create new fields, simple SQL queries, and information on subscribing to reports. This session is geared to provide information for the most basic of users to the seasoned report builder.

Do you submit a ticket and sometimes wish you could just take control yourself and get it done without the middle man? In this session, we will discuss applications/tools that you can use to do just that. Instead of having to submit a ticket for those simple, everyday tasks (such as requesting a check register or running a GL report), you could use MISER Commander. Do you want to automate scheduling and job processing (such as ACH returns)? Well, OpCon might be the solution for you. EOM (Enterprise Output Manager) allows you to print notices and/or checks at the financial institution instead of waiting for them from the print center. This comes in handy when you need to include something else in the mailing, such as invoices with accounts payable checks or returned checks with a deposited item return notice. We will discuss these solutions and possibly others that may “get you outta the back seat and into the driver’s seat.”
