Polly Belden, Wings Financial
Polly is Business Solutions and Senior Support Manager at Wings Financial. She also serves as Deposit Systems Manager. She joined Wings in 2000 as a Member Service Representative before becoming a Loan Officer and Operational Trainer. Before that, she spent ten years as a Loan Officer with TCF Bank.

David Burns, Fiserv
David is Vice President of Sales for Digital Banking with Fiserv. He joined the company in 2016 after 12 years with ACI Worldwide as their VP of Sales for Community Banking. At Fiserv, he leads the sales effort & team to improve the digital banking & consumer payment experience for community based credit unions and banks in the US.

Clint DeVoe, Capitol Federal Savings
Clint is Vice President – Deposit Services Manager at Capitol Federal, where he has worked since 2008. Over the last two years he has overseen Capitol Federal’s conversion from InterACT to DeskTop.

Steve Diederichs, Pretty Good Consulting Group
Steve started Pretty Good Consulting Group (PGCG) in 2007 following numerous interesting years at Unisys. Steve has provided consultation, project solutions, technical support, and training for a variety of large and small customers. He is primarily focused on output management solutions and processes, successfully delivered new solutions, upgrades, custom programming, and training.

Judy Dular, Flushing Bank
Judy has over 20 years in the banking industry with an extensive background in retail operations and auditing. Judy has been a Vice President of Retail and Deposit Services at Flushing Bank since January 2011, managing branch operations, online account opening, Retail Bank projects and all deposit processing and transit functions. She also served as the Bank’s Identity Theft Coordinator, where she instituted a bank-wide process for maintaining compliance with extensive identity theft laws.  In 2012, Judy was recognized as A Raising Star, which honors young professionals who exemplify outstanding leadership skills.

Prior to joining Flushing Bank, Judy served as a Regional Operations Manager at The Bank of New York overseeing branch operations for Queens and parts of Nassau County. She received the Quality Recognition Award in May 2005, for outstanding achievement in operations.

Nicole Elliott, Harborstone Credit Union
Nicole Elliott is Senior Retail Operations Manager at Harborstone Credit Union in Tacoma, WA. She joined the company in 2002 and has worked in various departments including Branch Management, Contact Center Management, and IT Systems. Nicole provides support to retail staff for effective product and service delivery and collaborates with other business units to ensure consistently positive member experience.

Holly Foster, Harborstone Credit Union
Holly is Project Manager/Business Analyst at Harborstone Credit Union in Tacoma, WA. She joined the company in 2007 as a Deposit Operations Specialist. Holly provides technical, analytical, and business advice during the development and implementation of technology solution installations, enhancements, and maintenance changes. She assures effective utilization of the credit union’s systems, keeping them consistent with the business needs of the credit union.

Ken Griffin, Unisys Corporation
Ken is the Principal Sales Support Technologist for Unisys in the United States and Canada. Ken and his team work with our sales professionals and clients to assist them in better understanding how to apply today’s technologies to their computing infrastructure.

Ken is also a Unisys ClearPath and Storage Architect. In his 20+ years at Unisys and 30+ years in the industry, he has assisted and mentored Unisys clients in all business segments in using and interacting with technology. He has designed and built entire compute, network and storage infrastructures, been a trusted adviser for many clients and has collaborated with all of Unisys’ “best of breed” technology partners for many years.

Earl Higginbotham, VyStar Credit Union
Earl is Core System Operations Manager, Information Technology Operations with VyStar Credit Union in Jacksonville, FL. He is responsible for managing multiple projects (strategic and tactical), team of 10+ people, budgeting and vendor management, with a heavy responsibility and oversight for the credit union's mainframe core financial system and wintel operations. He has worked with lending, call center, branch, electronic payments/systems, mortgage, collections and accounting operations. Earl is a past Chairman of the MISER Users Group.

Steve Koss, Unisys Corporation
A regular speaker at the MUG Conference, Steve Koss is a Distinguished Engineer and Chief Architect for ClearPath. With his engineering background, Steve is responsible for much of the tools, technology, and software products that are found in all ClearPath systems. He is a decision maker and designer for most of the features planned for future releases of the ClearPath.

Elizabeth LaBarbera, Flushing Bank
A 26-year veteran in the IT industry, Elizabeth has worked the past 3 ½ years at Flushing Bank as a Data Warehouse Analyst. Since joining Flushing Bank, the company has been able to expand their existing data warehouse platform and implement analytical dashboards and other BI reporting tools.

Patty Liming, Wings Financial
Patty is the Senior IS Application Support Specialist at Wings Financial. Her responsibilities include monitoring the MISER Host, verifying all automated jobs have completed successfully on the host and project support for host-related projects.

Mike Lindberg, Wings Financial
As Data Architect, Mike assists organizational decision makers at Wings Financial to use data to improve their ability to serve its membership. Mike returned to Wings Financial four years ago, having spent several years working for FIS enhancing the MISERBI analytics suite, and, more recently, working as technical architect for a BI consulting organization.

Jason Myhre, Wings Financial
Jason is currently an Application Support Analyst at Wings Financial Credit Union with experience implementing/supporting all MISER DeskTop components/interfaces/iterations for the last 3.5 years. In addition to supporting MISER DeskTop, Jason has been busy supporting all FIS products and services that Wings utilizes dating back to 2007.

Helen O’Brien, Rollstone Bank
Helen is Application Support & Process Development Specialist with Rollstone Bank & Trust in Fitchburg, MA. She joined the company in 1995 as a teller, then quickly advanced until she became the Assistant Manager of Data Processing in 2000. When RBT converted to Service Bureau in 2002, Helen moved into the IT department as the Technology Specialist. She just recently became the Application Support & Process Development Specialist. In this unique position, she provides Software/Web application support and assists users with process development and automation.

Sweety Patil, Radius Bank
Sweety is DBA (Database Administrator) at Radius Bank in Boston, MA. She provides reports to nearly every line of business at the bank. She is responsible for the BI reports, Database administration, and ETL processes.


Damion Quan, Wings Financial
Damion is a Web Application Developer and has been with Wings Financial Credit Union almost seven years. As a Developer he creates applications for use by members and other employees based on business needs.


Dan Riley, Wings Financial
Dan manages all data processing functions for the MISER host and handles all file transfers for the Credit Union. He administers OpCon, the Enterprise Scheduling Solution for process automation, and provides item processing support.

Jojo Seva, NEFCU
Jojo has more than 20 years of experience developing and executing IT strategies in alignment with corporate objectives. He joined NEFCU in June 2015 and has overall responsibility for the technology strategy of the credit union. Oversees daily IT operations and executing long-term goals of NEFCU's IT infrastructure, eServices, Data Processing, Help Desk support, Telecommunications, Software Development, and Enterprise Project Management.

Michael Tucker, Wings Financial
Mike has worked as a Business Systems Analyst for Wings Financial Credit Union for the past five years. As a BSA, he documents business requirements and works with the Development team to implement new products and features for Wings digital channels.

Jon Dipboye, Barksdale Federal Credit Union
Jon is the Vice President of Information Technology at Barksdale Federal Credit Union in Louisiana. Jon has been with Barksdale Federal for 19 years and a MISER user since 2008. Barksdale Federal is an In-House client that Utilizes MISERBA, MISERBI, MISER Studio, Connections, and Cohesion. Jon was Chair of the Credit Union MISER User Group (CUMUG) for four years.

Jennifer Dominguez, America’s Christian Credit Union
Jennifer is the Vice President of Core Systems Support for America’s Christian Credit Union in Glendora, California. Her employment with ACCU spans 28 years, during which time she has progressed from front-line operations and lending positions, to Consumer Lending Manager, Collection Manager, Loan Servicing Manager, and now Vice President. In her current capacity, Jennifer in involved with the IT team; her main focus is data management, report generation and analysis and MISER trouble-shooting.

Brad Grant, Wings Financial
Brad is the Vice President of IS Services for Wings Financial in Apple Valley, MN. Brad has been with Wings Financial for 13 years and has been a MISER client since 2006. He serves as Vice Chairman on the MUG Executive Committee. His 25 years of diverse leadership experience has helped to maximize the value proposition of MISER for both existing and new clients through effective leadership and collaboration with MUG Executive Committee members and FIS Management.

Johnny Greene, First Piedmont Federal SLA
Johnny has worked with First Piedmont for 32 years and has been a MISER client since 1987. He currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer on the MUG Executive Committee and is a member of MOSUG.

Joan Roche, Flushing Savings Bank
Joan has been with Flushing Bank for 29 years. She manages the Bank’s Application Support/Information Management Team. Joan has been working with MISER since the bank’s conversion in 1997. She is currently the chairperson of the MOSUG Subgroup and is the Service Bureau Over $500 Million representative.


FIS Speakers

Karla Alexander-White
Senior Compliance Analyst
Karla communicates regulatory compliance updates to various FIS Products, to include new regulations, amended regulations, guidance and opinions expressed by regulators, and other compliance-related information. She also assists the various FIS products in project development to ensure that their system remains compliant with federal regulations. Prior to joining FIS in 2012, Karla was an independent auditor for financial institutions in the Florida market. She is also a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM).

Becky Brazer
Becky has worked for FIS for 10 years, beginning as a software developer on the MISER Branch Automation product. She then managed the development efforts of the team in Norcross, GA. She continues to keep her hand in working on enhancements and code support, and also worked on-site at some MISER BA implementations. Becky manages the development and support of the MISER BA product. She also is the Desktop Products Support Manager. Becky is very excited about her new role, as working with customers has always been something she has extremely enjoyed.

Prior to joining FIS, Becky was a developer at Unisys Corporation for 23 years, working on various banking front-end products.

Tere Brun
SVP-Community Core Banking
During her 28-year tenure with FIS, Tere has held leadership roles across several FIS core processing solutions, serving financial institutions of all sizes. Her banking and technology experience spans project management, business analysis, account management, and client service.  

In 2007, Tere assumed the general management role for the FIS Community Banking Solutions organization, comprised of the BancLine, Bankway® and HORIZON core platforms. She then assumed the leadership of the BancPac, Mercury, and MISER core platforms. She has a proven record of delivering the highest level of product quality, solution integration and client service. As the leader of FIS’ Community Core Solutions, Tere is leveraging best practices from across her organization in order to bring more than 1,000 community core customers the best quality products, technologies, and services.

Bob Clark
Development Director
Bob joined FIS in 2008 as a Development Manager and was promoted to the Development Director position in 2012. He is responsible for all Development and QA activities. Before joining FIS, Bob spent 20 years with an FIS client, Mid America Bank, in various roles including developer, development/network manager, and SVP of IT.

Peter Conners
Director of Product Management-FIS Community Core Solutions
Peter joined FIS in 1998 and has spent the majority of his career with FIS leading product management, development and implementation teams. In his current role, Peter works with FIS’ product managers to deliver innovative solutions to core clients.

Keith Gilbert
Keith is Development Director at FIS and central to the development of the DeskTop system. He joined FIS in 1989 as a Programmer/Analyst. He has a BS in Computer Science from Louisiana Tech University.

Gary Henriques
MISER Delivery Services Manager
Gary’s 30 years of data processing experience began at Unisys Corporation in Springfield, NJ in 1986. After four years of Operations and Systems Support, Gary brought his Unisys experience to the Newtrend Group in 1990, where he began working with MISER at Crestmont Federal Savings in Westfield, NJ. Gary transitioned to EDS in Charlotte, NC in 1996 and then on to Orlando in 1998, where he has been managing the efforts of the FIS MISER Production Control and Systems Support teams ever since. Gary started with MISER at the inception of the Service Bureau offering and has been a part of its success ever since. Through the years, Gary has provided quality support services and automation solutions for all MISER customers.

Jim Hicks
Electronic Banking Development Manager
An 18-year veteran at FIS, Jim is the Electronic Banking Development Manager for MISER. He and his team support MISER core development for ATM/Debit Processing, Shared Branch, Internet Banking, and Mobile Banking interfaces. The team also supports the ATM Implementation team and product management for Electronic Banking.

George Jennings
Business Strategy Mgr.-Community Banking Solutions
George graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1979 with degrees in accounting and computer science. His diversified background with 30 years at FIS includes directing software development, implementations, customer support services, customer relations, professional services, sales support, international automation projects, and various special business initiatives. His current responsibilities revolve around business strategies for the community core arena, where he works closely with our clients.

Robert Johnston
Chief Risk Officer
Rob has more than 20 years of successful leadership in risk management, information security, and other strategic roles with some of the world's most recognized companies, including FIS and Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, one of the world’s largest and most recognized financial services firms.

Currently Rob is the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of FIS’ operating segments. In this role, Rob has risk oversight for all of FIS products and services worldwide, including software, services and technology outsourcing. He is responsible for risk oversight of information security, compliance, strategic, process, and execution risk. Rob is also responsible for the Enterprise Risk Programs across FIS globally, including control validation (control testing, SSAE-16 SOC reporting, and PCI and data protection audits), assessments, issues management, vendor risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, policy management, reporting and analytics, and interfaces often with the various regulatory agencies including the OCC, Federal Reserve, and FDIC.

Rob is a native Texan with a degree from Texas A&M University. He has also completed a graduate program for executives at Southern Methodist University, and received his Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and his Six Sigma Black Belt certification at Bank of America. He resides in Jacksonville, FL, and is married with five children. He serves on the Steve Smith Family Foundation Board of Directors (former Carolina Panther and Baltimore Raven football player), and is on the board of Samaritan’s Feet, a ministry focused on providing shoes and hope for people around the world living in poverty and without a pair of shoes (estimated at 1.5 billion).

Maureen Kelly
Business Analyst
Maureen started her career in the financial industry in 1986, in the deposit operations department of an institution in Philadelphia. She had multiple job responsibilities, including a key role in the migration to MISER in 1992. She joined the MISER team in 1995 as a business analyst for deposit implementations and later assumed the responsibility as lead analyst, focusing on installing third party interfaces.

In August 2000, Maureen transferred to Product Development. She is a lead analyst for both Commercial and Retail Deposit products.

Anand Likhite
IT Architect
Anand is an IT Architect who has been working for MISER since 2000. He has helped develop several products such as Cohesion and the associated tools, SmartCOLLECTOR, the new Administrator and MISER Studio. He has also worked on several vendor interfaces. His expertise includes building cutting edge, performant-scalable applications.

Julie Peckham
Senior Sales Executive - Money Movement and Mobile Commerce
Julie works in Chicago, IL as Senior Sales Executive - Money Movement and Mobile Commerce. She sells a suite of mobile and digital payment solutions to financial institutions including electronic and online bill payment, person to person (P2P) transactions, account to account transfers and cardless cash withdrawals via a mobile phone. Responsibilities include pipeline development, strategic prospect planning and sales execution. Work closely with product management teams to outline product enhancement needs, refine customer messaging and implement go to market strategies for new and legacy products.

Laura Plain
Laura joined FIS in 2006 as a Programmer. Before that, she spent four years with VyStar in Jacksonville as a Systems Analyst. She began her career as a Programmer with Kirchman Corporation in 2003. Laura has an MS in Computer Information Systems from the University of North Florida and she has a Masters in Management Information Systems from the University of Central Florida.

Christina Schneider
Christina Schneider is the Lending Compliance Manager for FIS products and services. In this role, she is responsible for providing federal regulatory compliance oversight to the software development projects managed by each of the FIS products and services, including Systematics. She assists a team of lending compliance analysts in their review of project specifications to ensure the system is compliant with federal regulations. Additionally, Christina communicates regularly with the rest of the Corporate Compliance team to discuss regulatory changes to the FIS Lines of Business, ensuring they are informed of new and changing federal regulations. Corporate Compliance also ensures that Systematics personnel receive annual compliance training. Christina has been with FIS since 2015 and has a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree.

P.J. Schunke
Director of Professional Services, Community Banking Solutions
P.J. leads the team which installs FIS technological solutions, trains new customers on how to get the most out of our products and identifies client-specific problems that FIS can solve. P.J. joined FIS in 2015 the company acquired Financial Services, Inc. in New Jersey, where P.J. worked for 27 years. He was president at the time of acquisition.

  1. Navigate to the FIS Learning Management System and log in with your unique credentials.
  2. Click “Catalogs” and then “Course Catalog” on the left-hand side.
  3. Expand the “MISER” folder.
  4. Expand the “MISER Courses” folder.
  5. Click on the “Courses – MUG” folder.
  6. Click on any of the 4 MUG courses. Then click either “Apply” or “Enroll My Students” to register for the class. Class descriptions are also available on this page.

MUG Charitable Initiative: Feed My Starving Children

Chairman Brad Grant has selected Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) as the 2018 MUG Charitable initiative. This amazing, volunteer-driven group spends more than 90% of total donations on packing nutritious meals for starving children across the U.S. and internationally. The group consistently receives the highest awards for integrity and trustworthiness, and each meal costs less than 25 cents.

Founded in 1987 by Minnesota businessman Richard Proudfit, FMSC is a Christian non-profit organization that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically for malnourished children. Donations fund the meal ingredients, and adult and youth volunteers pack them, and the meals are distributed to the kids through an exceptional network of missions and humanitarian organizations.

“We believe that food is the foundation for all other progress. To a starving child, hope can only truly begin once a reliable source of nutritious food has been established. Food assistance is a vital component in the process of transitioning individuals, families and communities out of chronic hunger and poverty and into self-sufficiency.”

MUG members can make checks payable to FMSC either in advance or on-site at the conference.
