Chairman Jay Constantino has selected the Mandell Multiple Sclerosis Center in Connecticut as the 2019 MUG Charitable initiative. In 1999, Jay’s wife, Cindy, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She has been in treatment since then with multiple neurologists, multiple pharmaceuticals, and multiple treatments. In 2017, her neurologist at that time decided to retire, leaving her to look for a new neurologist. She looked at the Mandell Center and was “interviewed” to make sure she qualified. She met with Dr. Wade at the center and I will never forget Dr. Wade’s last question of the interview, which was “Which team, Red Sox or Yankees?” I know she is a Red Sox fan and she really wanted to get into this program but there she was looking at me thinking “How do I answer?”  I just looked at her and said you know your answer! She then said, “Red Sox”! Dr. Wade looked at her and said, “I guess you are in the program!”
